Dry eyes occur when the eye is unable to produce its own tears. When the eyes become dry, the eyes become red. Eye drops are a temporary solution, but they shouldn’t be used for a long period of time. In fact, eye drops shouldn’t be used, unless an eye specialist requests you to use them. An eye specialist more than likely will prescribe an eye solution to help with your dry eyes. It is common to want to rub your eyes when they’re dry, but it will just cause them to become irritated.
An eye ulcer will occur because you’re more than likely going to rub them while your hands are dirty. Bacteria can easily get into the eyes. Since dry eyes can become red, it’s best to wear sunglasses if it becomes embarrassing to you. You’ll protect your eyes from the sun as well.
