8. Poor appetite
Poor appetite is a common symptom that can be caused by many things. Sometimes the loss of appetite is due to painful swallowing. If the action of swallowing is painful, perhaps due to a tumor left by oral cancer, the patient will lose their motivation to eat because every bite hurts them. Think of it as biological shock therapy.
Kids who lose their appetite might have neuroblastoma — a type of cancer that targets developing nerve cells. Another thing that could cause poor appetite is adenocarcinoma. The easiest way to know if your poor appetite is due to adenocarcinoma is by keeping a lookout for the other symptoms on this list. If you experience a loss of appetite in addition to one or more symptoms on this list, you might have adenocarcinoma.
That said, there are many, less severe, conditions that could lead you to lose your appetite. Thus, there’s no need to panic if you feel too full to finish your Whopper.
