5. Body Temperature Regulation
When a person has damage to their nerves, they may find that they have difficulty controlling the temperature of their body. A person may have difficulty sweating, even when it is hot. They may also have the opposite issue where they simply sweat uncontrollably. For some people, a high external temperature can be quite unbearable. The reason for this is because their bodies can no longer effectively find a way to cool off when it is hot.
Some people may experience cold chills and feel like they are never going to be warm again. All of these are signs that a person has some type of nerve damage. In order to determine the underlying cause it is important to discuss your symptoms with your doctor. Once the cause of this symptom is known, proper treatment can be provided in order to make you much more comfortable in the long term.
