2. Warm Bath
There are thousands of health benefits associated with having a warm bath, and there’s nothing better for tired and stressed muscles; it does more than just make you feel better, a warm bath can physically get the tension in the muscles to relax – and from there, massage and the addition of essential oils can enhance the relaxing effect.
As an added effect, the hot steam from the bath can also help to “open up” the lungs, although always be careful in cases where heart disease is known or suspected, or where the patient already has an existing fever. If you already have a fever, a too-warm bath can have adverse effects instead.
How can you tell? The moment a warm bath makes you feel any worse, pull the plug. There are plenty of other treatments (including hot compresses) that can achieve the same effect without as much strain on the body where you can’t handle a warm bath.
