4. Intestinal Bleeding
Intestinal bleeding is one of the most common symptoms associated with more severe cases of ischemic colitis, and once it has reached the more advanced stages of the condition whereby the intestinal lining has been punctured, bleeding sets in.
The most visible way to spot this symptom is usually through blood in the stool, and this should always be taken seriously even if you aren’t showing any other symptoms at the same time; internal bleeding is always severe, even when it’s one condition rather than something else.
The symptom will almost always go hand-in-hand with several of the symptoms on this list (including stomach pain), although the level of severity in the symptoms will vary from one person to another due to the fact that pain thresholds are different – because of this, see a doctor the moment you experience any symptoms, no matter how small you might think they feel.
