5. Nausea and Vomiting
Nausea and vomiting are some of the other more common symptoms that people with ischemic colitis may experience; you might experience this one in combination with some of the other symptoms on this list, or this symptom might occur mostly by itself. Like the other symptoms on this list, it might vary greatly in severity depending on just how much you have been affected by the condition.
Sometimes nausea and vomiting really just is “something you ate” – but other times it can be something more serious, and almost certainly is if you are feeling sick for more than a few hours at a time.
If you experience nausea and vomiting that lasts for several hours, see your doctor rather than take the chance that there might be something else wrong with your health that you are missing. Even when it isn’t due to ischemic colitis, it’s important to know.
