5. Stiff Neck
Stiff necks can be caused by a number of things. If you sleep in an odd position or have to sit for long hours in an office, you may suffer from a stiff neck. Most of the time a stiff neck feels better if you move it or rest it for a few days.
A stiff neck can also be a more serious symptom and a sign of Rhinorrhea. If the stiff neck doesn’t go away or prevents you from moving your head and neck at all, you should seek medical attention. Not only is a stiff neck a symptom of Rhinorrhea itself, but also meningitis, which can be even more severe. Doctors don’t take stiff necks lightly and will want to take a sample of your spinal fluid to see if there are any signs of infection.
Antibiotics will be given to treat the infection, and the stiff neck should improve once the infection is cleared up.
