6. Improvements in Skin Color
You’ll notice a pretty big improvement in the color of your skin when you quit smoking. People that smoke have sort of a yellowish tend to their skin. Their skin just doesn’t look healthy. The truth is, it really isn’t very healthy. But quitting smoking can bring rosy cheeks back and turn your skin into the color that it was meant to be. When you quit smoking, after a few days or weeks people will start to comment on things like how improved your skin looks or other benefits that you get when you quit smoking.
But skin is one of the most visible, and you will notice in the mirror as well as other people. The reason that this happens is smoking actually ages your skin. Research is shown that people who smoke and those who do not have markedly different skin colors – even when they are identical twins. Plus, smoking makes your skin show signs of aging like sagging wrinkles faster.
