4. Difficulty moving the joint
One common symptom of synovitis is the inability of the joint to bear weight. If the synovitis is in the lower extremities, it may be hard or impossible to bear down on the joints of the affected leg or foot. For synovitis on the joints of the upper extremities, it may be difficult or impossible to lift any weight or to place any weight on the arms, wrist or hands. If you have this symptom, chance are you are suffering from synovitis.
When there is not enough lubrication between the bone and the joints, it can cause intense amounts of pain that can inhibit movement. In severe cases, such as with gout, the joint can exhibit so much swelling that any movement at all is restricted.
Depending on the cause and the overall severity of synovitis, they may be treatments to help reduce the symptoms and restore mobility to the joint.
