6. Coconut Oil
This source of saturated fat contains antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that make it excellent for treating the symptoms of inflammation and cracking in the skin caused by urethritis infection. Women may experience drying of the skin around the vulva and entrance to the vagina due to urethritis infection. Men may also notice inflammation in the opening of the urethra in the head of the penis.
Coconut oil is an effective moisturizer with antibacterial properties that limit the bacteria from spreading through these areas. Rub some extra-virgin coconut oil between your fingers and smear it on your genitals to stop the infection from spreading while moisturizing inflamed and cracked skin.
It’s important to remember to purchase the extra-virgin variety of the oil, as the filtering process removes the beneficial enzymes responsible for the antimicrobial properties of the oil. Coconut oil is solid at room temperature, so you may need to warm the oil to improve the viscosity.
