5. Muscle rub is a home remedy to relieve a clavicle fracture.
The muscle rub to use is cold therapy. Use as directed. It may stink, but it will relieve the pain from the fracture. Every time you use the muscle rub, massage it gently onto the shoulder area. Be gentle with you rub it in. It should be completely rubbed into the skin. You’ll want to be gentle, especially if the area is tender. Wash the area thoroughly every time you use it. It won’t work as well with a dirty shoulder. Even though your shoulder may start feeling better, try not to move it.
If you try to move it too fast and it’s not healed, it’ll get worse. Wait until you’re able to see a physical therapist move the shoulder. A physical therapist will show you the proper way to handle the shoulder area without further injury.
