14 Home Remedies to Relieve Broken Collarbone

A broken collarbone is a break in the bone where it connects the breastbone to the shoulder. This is an injury that is rare. It occurs in sports and falls for example. It is important to be careful when doing activities around the house and away from the house. It is recommended to go to a doctor when this injury occurs, but in the meantime, you can relieve some of the symptoms. In fact, most of the items that are needed are already in your home.

When doing these home remedies, you’ll still need to be careful about how you handle the broken collarbone. You could make it worse. It is an injury that heals quickly. In fact, once treatment is given, it may heal within days or weeks.

Here are eight home remedies to relieve a broken collarbone. In fact, a lot of the symptoms may go away by the time you see a doctor.

1. Rest is one remedy to relieve a broken collarbone. 

Rest as much as possible because you’ll feel much better when you get up. When you rest, place a few pillows under the injured shoulder to prevent pain. Lie on your back every time you rest. This may be uncomfortable if you’re not used to laying on your back. When you do get up, let someone help you because it may be painful.

Another reason you need rest because if there is any swelling, it will go down. A lot of times when you rest for a long period of time, any swelling will go down when you wake up. Even though the swelling has gone away, don’t try to use it.

Don’t move the shoulder until you get the okay from your doctor. By the time you go to your doctor, you’ll feel energized and ready for physical therapy.
