6. Toxoplasmosis
Toxoplasmosis is a common type of infection that’s generally picked up through direct contact with the bacteria causing it, or a person or object acting as a host for it. This is a very common infection that can be picked up from getting scratched by a cat who has the condition, working with animal waste (or encountering it by chance), and it’s true that a lot of children and adults pick up this condition without realizing it.
There are even many cases where people are diagnosed with the condition and walk around with it for several years without realizing it – and this can present a lot of danger to your health that can cause a lot of issues without you ever wondering why.
Symptoms can include everything from a lowered immune system (which means that you’ll get sick a lot easier in general) through to picking up more specific types of infections such as uveitis.
