7. Untreated Eye Infection
Eye infections are diagnosed in millions of children and adults all over the world every year, and there are a thousand possible different causes for an eye infection, most of which has to do with encountering an infection or pathogen and spreading it to the eye (usually through touching the eye). If you have picked up an eye infection, it’s likely that you’ll experience a range of different symptoms such as redness, swelling, and pain in the eyes – sometimes blood present in the tear ducts are even present in the case of severe infections, and the condition might include white or yellow discharge from the eye.
Most eye infections are easy to treat, although when left untreated they can lead to a range of different conditions that include uveitis. If you suspect that you might have an eye infection, see your doctor sooner rather than later to avoid developing any related eye conditions.
