2. Increased Flatulence
Increased flatulence is one of the more embarrassing symptoms that can be associated with lactose intolerance, but it’s often one of the first symptoms that people who are lactose intolerant will experience if they’ve just consumed milk or dairy.
Again, the best way to figure out if dairy is the cause of this symptom at all, make a list of everything you eat and the symptoms that you experience afterward (or don’t). If increased flatulence goes together with consuming dairy, usually a few minutes to hours afterward, and it tends to happen every time in the same order, it’s very likely that you could be lactose intolerant.
It’s not a symptom that you should ignore, and even though it can be a little embarrassing to mention to your doctor, it can tell your doctor a lot about what type of symptoms you’re experiencing and what they need to look for.
