5. Relax
Vertigo can often be caused by stress and is a particularly common symptom of panic attacks.
The issue here is hyperoxia: when we become stressed, stress hormones such as norepinephrine and adrenaline cause us to breathe more rapidly. In turn, this can then cause us to take in too much oxygen.
The solution in this case is simply to try and stay calm. Correct breathing will help to calm acute stress, while meditation and CBT can be good long-term solutions.
