You will be wanting to say goodbye to this yellow. It is a yellow discharge that dries as a crust that will cover part of the eye. This is another symptom frequently pairing with pink eye.
This yellow crust around the eyelash area of the infected eye or eyes is most common post-sleep. People may rise and shine unable to even open their eyes sometimes due to this discharge.
It can be a little scary the first time it happens. Water seems to do this trick of cleaning eyes back to their normal state, however… it is likely to happen every night for about a week with many types of Pink Eye, predominately Bacterial Pink Eye.
