5. Avoiding Eye Strain
Eye strain is such a common health condition that most people just happen to consider it part of daily life without sparing it a second thought – and without realizing how serious it could be for their health. Straining the eyes happens to everyone at some point when they’re tired or it feels like their eyes have been focusing on the same thing for too long, and it’s very commonly seen in careers that spend a lot of time reading or looking at things close up. It’s also often seen in careers that involve sitting in front of a screen for hours at a time.
Straining the eyes even past the point where they already start to show the signs of being strained is never a good idea, and it can make many of the conditions that eventually cause blindness worse. Never strain your eyes: Get them checked out if you notice any vision loss, and be sure to give your eyes the necessary rest when your eyes tell you they need it.
