In most instances, this is all that is needed for minor toe fractures. The first thing you should do is rest the injured area. Don’t stand for extended periods and avoid strenuous exercise or walking long distances. Depending on your level of pain, you may need to use crutches as extra support to help you get around.
Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to take breaks when you do have to move from one place to the other. To help your toe heal properly, make sure to wear supportive shoes that will distribute the weight away from the fracture while it heals. The main goal is to reduce swelling and allow your foot the rest it needs to heal properly.
