Anti-inflammatory medications can do a lot for reducing the symptoms of gout, but there are plenty of reasons why people opt for more natural methods instead of reaching for the clinical options first. Where anti-inflammatory medications might have a lot of long-term side-effects (and even addiction for some) associated with taking them, natural options aren’t considered to have nearly as many side-effects but can work just as well.
Turmeric is one of the best natural anti-inflammatory compounds out there, and if you’re experiencing an attack of gout or you might be at risk, then turmeric tea is one of the best things you can add to your weekly diet. Just one cup of turmeric tea per week can make a world of difference, and other ingredients such as cinnamon can be added to enhance the effect.
Ideally, turmeric tea is brewed with milk – but substitutions are possible if you happen to be lactose intolerant.
