4. High starch grains and their derivates
There are many different grains that have high levels of starch. For example, one of the most widely used grains in our diet is wheat, but you should avoid it if you are on a no-carb diet because of the high level of heavy carbohydrates it has. Another grain with a high level of search is oats, so next time you crave for some porridge, remember how much sugar you are actually putting in your body. Rice is also high in starch, so stay away from that too.
This includes products that are made of the flour of these grains, including bread and pasta. If you want to eat whole grains instead of white flour because they are healthier, remember that whole grains don’t have less starch than regular grains. And if you want to have fewer carbs on your diet you need to reduce your starch intake.
