4. Wild Lettuce
While the term “wild lettuce” is used in some parts of the world as a euphemism for cannabis, most people don’t realize that wild lettuce is actually the colloquial name for a plant on its own – and one that you can find in many gardens and parks without even knowing it. Wild lettuce creates flowers that most people recognize as white, puffy and round – the ones that are often “blown into the wind” for a dramatic movie scene or photograph.
The leaves can be collected and dried with a few minutes in the oven on a baking sheet: From there, it can be made into a tea or mixed with tobacco and the smoke held in the mouth for a few seconds.
It’s a more natural form of painkiller than opiates, and it can be a temporary relief method for severe types of toothache when you aren’t able to seek medical attention (or other home remedies on this list have been ineffective for the type of toothache you have).
