14 Home Remedies That Can Ease Groin Pain

Search for Articles Here >>

Groin pain can be unbearable for some people and at the very least, it’s inconvenient. Your groin is connected to the muscle in your lefts and stomach, which you use to walk, stand, and sit. That means if you have groin pain, moving around can aggravate it and make it worse.

The type of groin pain often plays a role in the type of treatment needed for relief. Some types of groin pain need to be treated at a doctor’s office, including groin pain caused by an infection or an injury.

Other types of groin pain may just be caused by a sore or overworked muscle and can be treated at home. Being able to treat your groin injury at home means less stress and less money.

Here are some home remedies that can ease groin pain and help you get back to your normal activities in no time.

1. Ice

Ice can help many types of groin pain. Some groin pain is caused by injuries or strain. If this is the cause of your groin pain, you can apply an ice pack to the area for 15 minutes at a time to help numb the pain and help the muscles heal. You can do this a few times a day if needed and for as long as desired. If the pain doesn’t go away within a few days, you should seek medical attention, as there could be a serious underlying cause.

Some types of groin pain can’t be treated with ice, and in some cases, the ice may make it worse. Make sure you know what you are dealing with before you apply ice to the painful area.

Some people experience pain in the groin even though the injury or cause of the pain is elsewhere on the body. This can also make it hard to treat the area with ice.
