5. Tight Clothing Can Encourage the Development of Cellulite
If you think those tight jeans or that slinky skirt is somehow smoothing out your cellulite, think again. Poor circulation is one factor in the development of cellulite, and tight clothing can interfere with proper circulation. It isn’t only jeans and skirts that can lead to this problem, but even underwear that is too small can slow down your circulation.
If you have an issue with cellulite, you may want to avoid tight clothing in any case, because it tends to emphasize the problem rather than reduce it. Although you may not want to wear loose clothing all the time, at least when you are at home from work and at night, wear robes, spacious pajama bottoms, and free-flowing fabrics when you can. Also, avoid crossing your legs for extended periods of time when you are sitting down because this can also affect circulation.
