5. Avocados
Though a vegetable, avocados deserve to be their own category due to their uniqueness.
Avocados are high in nutrients, and are often called a “superfood.” They help increase glutathione, which is a compound the liver needs to flush out toxins.
It is also believed to boost the liver’s cleansing power; some research has supported a finding that eating just 1-2 avocados a week for one month will repair liver damage. Try this superfood by eating it by itself, in a smoothie, on avocado toast, as a salad topping or as guacamole.
