4. Cough
It’s annoying for everyone in the household to have to listen to the regular bark of a persistent cough, whether it’s coming from a cot or a teenage lair. Unfortunately for those burdened with this annoying soundtrack, there’s not a lot the composer can do about it if they’ve been struck with adenovirus.
Just as the red spots are telltale to chickenpox, and the Yankees cap is telltale of a tourist, the cough that comes with adenovirus leaves little doubt concerning whether or not a person has it. It can be dry or productive, but one thing is for sure, it’s persistent. Sometimes a person can cough so much that it makes them sick. It’s particularly distressing to see young babies and infants affected by a bad cough like this, but there’s not much that can be done to avoid this further signpost for adenovirus. Sorry.
