5. Fever
Fever is one of the most common symptoms that you’ll experience when you have any kind of general infection going on in your body, and it’s no different when you have pharyngitis. A fever is defined as any higher-than-normal body temperature that lasts for an extended time period, and it’s likely that you’ll experience many of the other symptoms that are mentioned on this list at the same time (including a sore throat, headache, and pain while swallowing).
A fever should always be treated as soon as possible, first with over-the-counter medication that’s known for being useful to the symptom (such as aspirin or paracetamol), though care should be taken here if there are any heart, blood, liver or kidney issues present. If this doesn’t work within a few (to twenty) minutes, make an appointment with your doctor in order to get the fever under control as soon as possible.
